BSA 4-12 Essential - Cracking air air rifle / rimfire budget scope

    BSA 4-12 Essential

Nice full, perfectly round viewing circle.
Close focus, to far away. finger adjustable turrets.
A dot reticle, nicely close together - more realistic for air rifle ranges.
Bright good quality optics / lenses. Springer G'Tee (like all BSA Optics)
Will fit in Sportsmatch one piece mounts with room to adjust back and forth.
    Nicely finished

I think best sub £100 scope.

I can't imagine why I'd buy anything more until Bushnell Primes at £240 price point from what I've looked through as I cannot see any worthwhile optical improvement until then _
I'm not saying I've looked through everything, but have looked through a lot _
Looking for TO-6 Trigger unit unmessed with or T0-6 kit for 34

Considering the Hawke 3-12x50AO* is now available for £100 or less from a number of sources, do you think there's much in it? As I already have the Hawke I'd be interested if the BSA is really a bargain considering its lower cost.

You'd have to look side by side I guess and form your own opinion.

Hawke / Deben have always been a good company, Hawke do give a lifetime warranty on all or most scopes ..(I'm not sure, probably on their website)

I have a couple of Hawke vantage scopes - both too short to fit in standard sized one piece mounts ( a bit of a design oversight I think, and a bit daft, as could run a different line of 'compact scopes')

If that's important to you, check measurements before you buy too _

I like the BSA Essential scopes.
Cracking optics for the money. At one point, all my rifles had them mounted, including my Steyr H5

I have the 6 to 24 model only found out how good it is when I tried replacing it with a much more expensive scope !!
