GoldStar
Buying a GoldStar in .22 revived my interest in airguns a decade or more back - since then I've bought 'too many to tell the wife'.
Aftermarket (PB) mags are better than the original BSA items, I found.
My GS has been in the shed for ages- I foolishly lent it to someone a few years back, came back with a non working trigger. Took off the stock, the hair spring between the safety catch & the trigger(?) had broken. Think there was also an issue with a pin with the mag indexer(?).
As I had by then bought other guns, it's been in the shed ever since.
This post has made me thing about getting it done up again - it was an accurate gun, if heavy.
A while back, heard there did use to be someone in a nearby village (Fernhill Heath, Worcestershire?) who specialised in doing up older BSA's. Not found anything on the 'net. Does anyone know if he is still going, & what he charges?
All the best
