Having watched the prog, I find it disturbing that the .44 Russian cartridge is on the obsolete calibres list. Seems to be a bit of a hole in the law with some cartridges being relatively easy to fabricate from other similar cases. A muzzle loading colleague has also been known to fabricate 12 bore BP pinfire cartridges just to see if he could - they worked fine but were far too much trouble to be a worthwhile in quantity. Once again it seems that the law is a little naïve and over simplistic. I suppose given enough resource and motivation almost any cartridge could be home made.
They're ALL easy to make if you know what you're doing; but doing so without an FAC is already illegal. That's the whole point of this thread.
